Utility Trenching

Utility Trenching in Coeur d’Alene

Running water, sewer, gas, electric, or drainage line means opening a trench, and a trench is the most hazardous cut on any site. Inmanstories trenches for utilities across Coeur d’Alene with proper bedding, backfill, and, above all, the protective system the depth demands. Every run starts with an 811 locate through Idaho’s Dig Line so we know where the existing gas and power lines sit before the bucket drops.

Why Trench Protection Is Not Optional

Our Process

After the Dig Line locate is marked, we excavate to line and grade, set pipe bedding, and lower the trench box as the cut deepens. Backfill goes in compacted lifts over the bedding, and we restore the surface. Spoil is managed so the site stays passable off streets like Appleway Avenue.
